I was wanting to talk to some ladies who have gone through their husbands being a drill instructor. My DH says it will be the most taxing part of his military career on our marriage.

Was it taxing on your marriage? How often did you see and talk to DH?

thanks for the advice! :-)

My dh wasn't a Drill but he worked a lot of their hous as Cadre with them. It sucks, especially in the beginning of s cycle. With Dh's unit the Drills slept at the barracks the first 3 weeks and most likely didn't go home.
Everyone that was married got through it fine the 2 years dh was tradoc.

Haven't done drill but have a couple friends that do. My one friend says her husband gets up at 3 and not home till after 9 sometimes 11. Lots of long hours.

we were at the navy boot camp. husband was an instructor, not a DI, but  an instructor that taught one of the classes.  his hours weren't bad, but the Drill instructors were with their recruits from 4am-11pm.. some days more.. NOT a schedule we would sign up for.

It is by far one of the hardest things. I think that some deployments were not as difficult.
