For those who have not heard, Tuition Assistance for active duty service members has been suspended until further notice.  Those already in a class or was approved for one before March 9 can finish the class out.  After wards, any additional classes can still be taken but you will have to pay for it out of pocket.

I saw that in another post...I had been curious about how they were handling people currently enrolled.

Not out of pocket - they'll use their GI bill once they qualify.

We've been telling people to just fill out the financial aid packets to qualify for grants and scholarships and use their GI Bill after they get out of the Army to get the most out of the GI Bill be it the Montgomery or the Post 9/11.

Dh is AF, and signed up for a class - the education office told him...

1 mom liked this

They jump the gun on stuff like that. They told DH 2 years ago that TA would be dropped 75% by that October and it never happened. But I do think the AF and Navy will either cancel or at least drop the percentage. I see it as unlikely for two services to cancel it and the other two to not, but you never know! We're hoping not because DH has been using it to finish his degree.
