I have liked the MWR here and my husbands brigade and unit facebook pages. Everything gets posted and shared.
Plus I see banners for stuff, word of mouth and such.
We keep our lives separate as much as we can from the military.
I am the service member and I prefer for it to be that way. Dh is prior service and he agrees.
Quoting cocoroo:No, you just get involved. I choose not to though.
This applies to us as well. When DH is home he doesn't want to be around his job when its his off time. He sometimes spends 12-14 hours a day on base and just wants to be able to spend time with his family when he's not working.

I don't think it would be too hard. I get the FRG groups emails, I've 'liked' the facebook pages, and DH would come home knowing info about activities as well.
Not all housing is even on a base, so you'd have to travel to the base anyway right?
I'm super involved in the base, I live in housing, I still have to travel to the base to do things. Unless it's at the 7 day store in housing some travel is involved.
Yep. This. We do our own thing and keep my husband's work separate from our home life. I don't have time or patience for all that mess!
