I'm 40 weeks pregnant my water has not broke and I have irregular contractions and my doctor belives in natural childbirth and so do I but what if my baby decides to wait another week I'm due this Saturday and I don't feel good I'm tired all the time my legs hurt plus the contractions hurt to and I feel that every time I go to the bathroom he's gonna come out. How many days left? I want to see my baby sooo bad and his daddy leaves for RTC in june I really want them to spend time together before he leaves. I'm ready to let this little guy go.

Let your body lead. Try to relax and be patient.

Baby will come when ready. No one can tell you when it will happen.

The group has an amazing pediatric nurse, hopefully she'll weigh in.

Water breaking does not always occur to set off labor. Many times it happens during labor or by the doctor after labor has started. Mine broke and labor did not start for hours - I ended up on pitocin to make it happen.

You can try acupressure. There are videos that show how and where (acupressure for labor). You can try sex (as long as the doc has not told you otherwise). And you can try walking. Really though, if your baby is not showing signs of coming out, it could be that the baby is just not ready to come out.

A lot of army docs ( at least ones i dealt with) will not induce or anyyhinh until a week or 2 after due date. I was in early labot for a week. Consistant painful contractions every 10 min apart. Didnt matter if i was walking or laying down. It was 10 min apart. I was a schedualed csection and i told then i did not want to go into full labor and have all the meds pushed in me at once, but they didnt listen an made me wait until i went into labor because that happened before my due date which is when they schedualed my csection for
