What are the colored ropes I have seen white, black, red and green?

On shoulders?  They are called agillettes. Do you know what service?  They each have different meanings. My husband wore them on his ceremonial Navy uniform when he was in the Presidential Guard.

My hubby has green and blue. Blue is the color of infantry and the green.... Ummm... Army? Lol. I know the one is color of MOS, i never asked about the Green cord. I think its branch of military, but no clue

 In the AF they are student leadership roles while they are in tech school.

  • White Rope - Chapel Guide
  • Black Rope - Student Drill Teams and Special Activities Teams
  • Silver or Blue & White -- Drum and Bugle Corps

There is also red, green and yellow ropes.

I don't know. I know that blue is infantry but that's all I know. [Army]

This is correct. I think i remember my hubby saying for army green is sf and tan is ranger, blue is infantry. I would assume each branch has them for their class B's as well.

Red is Feild Artillary, Blue is Infantry, yellow is cavalry, black with silver is Officer, black with gold is warrant officer, that is all I am aware of.

Green berets are SF and tan berets are Ranger, not the ropes.
