So Excited!! Follow-on orders...

Hubby got his follow on orders today...we're going back to Fort Riley.

The only sucky part is our tenants just signed a year lease and don't want to move.  So we're house shopping...

I found a nice mobile home that is super cheap and would be in the same school area.  I think it would be fine for a year until the lease is up and we can move into our house again.  Not to mention it'd be way less than renting a house.

What would you do?

Unless anyone knows of any laws that protect us as owners to be able to terminate the lease to re-occupy the house.  I've been searching the web without much luck.

Also we'd rent the mobile home out after we moved.  The location is good and they have a community pool for the summer and it's close to the storm shelter.  Should our house need any work after the tenants move out, we're almost next door.

Nope.

Our property manager just explained this to me. Tenants have more rights than the owners of the house.

You can offer them a incentive to vacate. But if they don't want to..then they don't have to.

He said some owners have paid their tenants the amount of rent x months left on lease.
