Pick me up without caffeine?

I stopped drinking soda and caffeine about a month ago. I am definitely feeling better overall, but now I am missing the energy. I am not going to start drinking soda again, and I would rather keep off the caffeine in general, but I need to be able to stay away during my lectures. Especially on days like today when I am in the classroom for 6 hours with nothing more than 10-15 minutes breaks.

I can go ahead and rule out Vit B12 and Vit D (on a script for those already). Most energy drinks are caffeine-filled. So any other ideas? Maybe something I am overlooking?

I use Arbonne fizz sticks. They have a natural energy booster in them, taste really good, and are only 10 calories.

I gave up caffeine during my pregnancy and after awhile I didnt notice a difference, but while I was dying in the beginning I tried tricking myself by drinking decaf hoping for a placebo effect lol but im curious to hear about other methods

Do you know if it has aspartame in them?

what about those 5 hour energy shots? i know nothing about them. my dad likes them. lol

DH would tell you to do push ups. Haha :)

Only think other than caffeine I can think of would be something sweet or carbs, but that doesn't seem like a good alternative. Good job on cutting out soda and caffeine for a month now!

 This is why I cannot cut out soda. I need caffeine! I don't drink coffee so that's out. I like Susans cocaine suggestion    : p

Well.... Apples are good.. Plus they go along with the classroom theme ;-)

I cut out all soda and caffeine last fall. It was hard. Now, I usually drink something super ice cold (usually water) or some decaf or herbal tea. Ice cold kinds feels like a kick to my face lol, and drinking tea lets me pretend there's something in there to wake me up.
