How concerned should we be?

There is so much information coming from multiple news outlets about Syria right now. They are talking estimated timetables. Countries are making statements about retaliation against us and Israel if we intervene.

China and Russia have been vocal as well. I hate to get ahead of myself, but this sounds as if it can escalate to something very far reaching...the words WWIII  have even been thrown out.

Don't we need permission from Congress to act first?

My stomach is in knots thinking about it all.

Due to me and my families proximity to Syria and North Africa, I'm very concerned.

Aren't you in Turkey?

And it is rather nerve racking.

I don't know where you are located, but I hope you all remain safe.

Really anything could happen. To me there are so many variables from who is really behind the chemical attacks, Assad or rebels or someone else, how NATO and other countries react, how the president feels at any given time, etc. to make a guess or worry about it.

There are so many loose cannons with the capability to obliterate life as we know it that Syria is just another on the list. I could be worried every day about N Korea, Iran, Syria and to an extend China and Russia as well but it isn't productive.

Shit could hit the fan or we could sit back and watch millions of people get killed in a civil war.

2 moms liked this

On a personal level, not too concerned unless it means DH being stop lossed or his retirement pay cut.

On a global level, very concerned for obvious reasons.
