health insurance questions

Does anyone know what the health insurance is like for Marines while they are in Boot Camp?  My son wrote and said he had to have all four wisdom teeth pulled the second week he was there.  That seems kind of extreme.  Will the cost be deducted from his paycheck when he graduated boot camp?

It is pretty typical for bootcamp actually.  (and I had all 4 pulled the same day when I was in highschool, that is normal too).  He has free healthcare now that he is in the military.

This. I had all four of mine pulled a few years ago, at the same time. It's not that unusual.

All 4 of mine were impacted and removed at the same time in high school.
As the service member it is free for him.

You ladies are hardcore...having all 4 pulled at the same time!  LOL!  I had mine only 2 at a time.  I'm a weenie!

Yep, what they all said. I had to have all 4 of mine pulled and or extracted at the same time as well.

Two of mine were infected and impacted, so they decided to take them all out at the same time.

Holy crap!  Mine were the opposite...they were all too far back in my mouth, and I couldn't reach them well to brush them good enough.  They all 4 had cavities...the ONLY cavities I've ever had in my entire life.  Stupid wisdom teeth! LOL!

My husband had to have them taken out in Boot Camp, too. Apparently that is the thing to do.
