Question about moving

DH will finish training soon and we will be PCSing for the first time. Basically my question is, where will they move our stuff from? DH is stationed in Florida, I'm in Georgia, and all our crap is with my parents in Utah. (I know.) Will they move it from Utah, or will they only move it from his home of record?

Please forgive me if I sound stupid! I'm new to all this and it's pretty confusing.

They'll move him from his current permanent assignment (or home of record if he hasn't had a permanent assignment yet).

They won't move it from anywhere other than his current duty station or if moving to his first duty station his permanent home of record

Your HHG will be moved from the location you specify.

your actually only allowed the distance from the HOR to the first duty station- however they will move you fom anywhere- but  if the distance is greater from where the stuff is to the first duty station then the cost will be on you if it is less then it is no big deal.

the cost per mile is about 1.35 if you go over the distance.
