Before joining our group, please read the Guidelines to make sure the group is a good fit for you. You will be asked if you have read and if you agree to them:-)

Christian Mahma's Guidelines:

We are a Christian Moms Group geared towards children ages birth to 4 years old. The goal of the group is to reach out to other Christian Moms in the area. We welcome Moms from all over the NE Ohio area, but keep in mind our meetup locations are mostly in Northern Columbiana and Southern Mahoning Counties. Most of our members are SAHM’s (Stay At Home Moms) so the majority of our events are during the day, on a weekday. But every once in a while we do a Mom’s Night Out or Family Get Together on an evening or weekend.

We do ask our members to be active in the group by coming to a Public or Private, child oriented event at least once every 2 months.  Generally we have an event every week in warmer weather and one every other week in colder weather. If you cannot make an event during that time, please let us know why or you will be removed from the group. 

Our Events:
On our calendar, we have four types of events:
1. Public Events: These events are at public locations and are open to all current and any new/pending member of the group.

2. Private Events: These events are typically at someone's home and are open ONLY to members of the group. These events MAY have a limit on the number of members & kids allowed to attend based on the size of the home. If you are uncertain about being able to attend, please don't RSVP yes and take a spot that another member would be able to use. These events also don't typically allow RSVP's of "maybe."

3. Moms-Only Events: These events will be specified on the calendar as "Moms Only." Children are not to be included at these events to allow us to have a chance to socialize without the distractions or interruptions that our little ones can sometimes bring. Breastfeeding infants, however, are always welcome. These are often called MNI (Moms Night In) or MNO (Moms Night Out) Events.

4. Virtual Events: Our virtual events consist of chat nights or any event where participation occurs simply by sitting at a computer or in the comfort of your own home.

Sick Policy:
Please do not attend an event if you or your child....
...has a fever
...has diarrhea or is vomiting
...has a sore throat or continuous cough
...has been on an antibiotic for less than 48 hours
...has a rash
We don't want any of our little ones getting sick :-)

Also, please inform the host of an event if you and your children have food or environmental allergies. If you are unsure about the accommodations, feel free to ask the group owner or hostess.

Message Board:
We hope that you check the message board frequently and use it as a way to get to know one another. JUMP RIGHT IN!! It is also a great resource for parenting information, advice, christian encouragement and support, and fun local events. Please keep in mind the following...

Since we do have moms from all different religious backgrounds, we need to be careful not to offend others. Romans 14:19 says "Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification".  Please do not discuss topics such as baptism, drinking, smoking, or other controversial subjects on the message board or at a public event.  If you feel it is your responsibility to talk to someone about such a subject, please discuss it with them privately.

Our message board and all our events are to be kept clean and respectful. There will be no swearing, gossiping, smoking, or alcohol at ANY event (including Mom's Nights Out or In) or discussed on the message board. What is said on the boards, stays on the boards. We don't want any gossiping outside of our group.

If you are upset with anything said on the message board or at an event, please contact an organizer to help resolve the issue. It is sometimes difficult to judge someone's feelings and intentions over a message board. We do not want anyone to get upset over something that may have just been taken the wrong way.

Please understand that if any of these guidelines are infringed upon, you MAY be removed from the group. Remember, we are all here to enrich our lives as well as our children's. We want all moms and children in our group to have fun and to be comfortable with what is going on in the group and on the message board.

When you apply to the group, a group organizer will contact you within 24 hours with a list of upcoming events.  You have 1 month from date of application to come to an event.  If something cannot be arranged by then, your application may be denied.  Feel free to reapply if your schedule free's up.

****Please Note: Our group has currently reached its maximum capacity so we are no longer accepting applications.  I am sorry about this. The members change all the time due to kids going to school or getting busy with other activities.  If you are interested in joining, please e-mail me at and I will put you on a waiting list and let you know when we have an opening!  Thank you!****
