So last week I was to start week 5 of c25k, but I was worried I wouldn't be able to do it, so last week I took the whole week off!!
Today after it finally warmed up to about 62 degrees I decided I needed to get out there and get it done or I would never do it and never know if I could do it!!
It wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be, now cold air was the only issue, drying out my throat(I need to find a way to carry some water that isn't uncomfortable). Wednesday is 2 8 minute runs with 3 5 minute walks(warm up, cool down, and break between the runs), I am just a bit concerned but after today not to bad.
Friday I am gonna take some updated pics, measurements, and weigh in, because I start with my personal trainer on Saturday!! I know with the weight training included now I will see more change, so I wanna get all my update info before I start so I can see the change!!
I really need to revamp my eats!! I stay gassy all the time and bored with my foods! Right now I am doing one green smoothie a day with added fruits to sweeten it up so it's drinkable for me plus taking metamucil which seems to be helping with the bathroom issues, but still have some issues. I am also taking a challenge(which is hard) to keep my sugar intake under 15gs a day, not including my fruits and veggies. Between dh's paycheck and tax refund I am hoping to visit the healthy food store to buy somethings that aren't availble at walmart and other places.
Need some new ideas for my eats.
Good for getting it done. Do you have one of those running straps to hold your water?
When you get your tax return I highly recommend the vitamin shoppe they are cheap w/alot of variety. Do you have a supplement super store there? We just got one. I have not been yet but I here they a cheap. And did you join that gym you were talking about?
Good to cut your sugars down. Sugar is the devil. lol. I try to keep mine natural to fruits. I hear you on the food. it can get boring.
No I don't have anything to hold my water, I am thinking about getting one of those that strap to your waist with 2 small bottles of water. I didn't join the gym because the personal trainer I talked about awhile ago finally got in touch with me and I start with her on Saturday(where some of tax return money is going). Oh and I am super excited about that!!
Congrats to you! Sounds like you're making some great lifestyle changes. I carry water on my fanny pack. I have a slot that holds it. It also holds my iPod and keeps it water resistant. Cab't exercise without my music, lol!
As far as good foods, I also avoid sugar, high carbs, salt and white flour. I also don't eat meat or dairy and that's my choice.
Our bodies were designed to move and you're moving yours:-)
For food I've been in a food rut too I started branching out.. Check out the recipe forum there are some good recipies! Or google clean eating recipies injust found one I had tonight it was quick and easy.. Brown rice zucchini squash and lean beef (can also use chicken or ground turkey) all in a pan on the stove!
