How is the pregnancy going? How far along are you now? Any morning/all day sickness? Any dietary restrictions you are doing? What are your exercise goals? how long are you exercising? What type of exercises? Any cravings?
I've gained about 30lbs so far, which seems like a lot but by this time in my previous pregnancies I had gained 40+...I try to not focus on the scale as long as I'm eating right my body is going to do what it thinks it needs too.. Inhave big babies too.. My son was almost 10lbs and the dr estimated this one will be about 5 kilos (which is about the same) it takes a lot of energy to cook a big ol baby!! Lol
As for diet I'm keeping it pretty clean, I have had a few food aversions (I can't eat chicken at all or eggs strait up) and with the cold weather I hav'nt eaten as much salad as I should but I started making hot meals with greens like broccoli spinach and cabbage in them so I don't lose out....I have some days like yesterday where I literally eat ALL day and never feel full but since I eat well I just keep shoveling it in there lol
Hav'nt really had any major cravings.. I was loving me some Popeyes on occasion but that's out since chicken makes me sick.. And of course the occasional dark chocolate.. I find myself craving t at the store brining it home and hiding it (so my kids and hubby dont take it lol) then forgetting about it.. I did do some damage on girl scout cookies though!! other then that I don't have anything I specifically avoid just trying to keep it balanced.. What helps is I can't cop out and be lazy.. There isn't fast food on every corner..there are a couple restaurants in my neighborhood but they arnt takeout type places.. If I want fast food i have to go on base.. And I'm def too lazy for that.. Plus its a minimum of a 20 min drive one way so it just doesn't seem worth it.. And my freezer is tiny so its like I can keep my meats and frozen veggies for dinner for the week in the freezer or I can keep junk.. I can't do both.. And a frozen pizza doesn't even fit so that has helped..because i do have moments twice a week at least where I just don't want to cook dinner.. I don't crave junk i just crave an easy option.. Since there isn't one I cook healthy meals viola lol
As for activity I've been staying active I did a 5k in December... Now that we have snow and ice I hav'nt been out running.. We have a dreadmill but I've been using the exercise bike instead because the only thing that keeps me going on a treadmill is speed intervals and I'm not about to do those! I say I get 3 days a week of exercise in for about 30 minutes.. My main goal is to just try to stay active! Parking is a B so I get a lot of daily walking in hauling the kids around when we have errands and playgroups and we have a lot of stairs in my house bleh!! I play with the kids at the park almost every day too.. so I'm pretty happy w my level of activity ;)
I cook them small and short usually--my first was born at 36 weeks and 2 days and was 6 lbs 7 ounces and my second was born at 36 weeks and 1 day but I had preeclampsia so she was induced and she was 5 lbs 8 ounces. I am usually sick from conception through birth and can barely eat anything. I gained about 14 lbs the last week of my first pregnancy and about 20 lbs with my second pregnancy.
Exercise bikes usually hurt my butt, so I try and go for walks and do the elliptical.
Will this one be your last? How quickly do you lose the weight after they are born?
It most likely is my last child.. I wouldn't mind having one more but my husband is so done havig kids :( But really I think i have more then I can handle lol
As for the weight.. I hav'nt ever officially lost all my "weight" however before this pregnacy I was down to my smallest size even though the scale wasn't quite where I wanted it.. But I was smoking lol that's part of why I don't stress the scale too much.. With my first I gained 65 lbs and it was slow commig off..I did workout doing weight training videos and cardio step DVDs at home.. I lived in the dc area and I spent at least 3 hours a day in my car driving too and from work so I wanted to be able to workout at home and still spend time with my kid.. With my second I didn't focus on weight loss until he was 3 months old and I went back to work because I was nursing and he ate a LOT so in turn I had to eat a lot to keep my supply up.. I still ate healthy and worked out sporadically (around the constant feeding schedule lol) but I didn't really focus on my weight.. With this one it will be the same Workout eat right but not focus on losing until I'm done nursing although I do usually lose 25lbs right off the bat
