Has anyone tried them? Do they work? I am 4'11", 110 lbs... I mostly just need to tone my tummy and slim down a bit. Thoughts?

No, I have not. But hula hoops do work the abs pretty good. It would not hurt. My favorite exercises I swear by to tome up the abs are Vups-reverse crunches and vacuums.

Go into the you tube forum on here and look for the yellow sticky that says ab workouts for home and gym and they are there. Also, "abs are made in the kitchen" make sure you eat as clean as you can to.
And like Linda said and are made in the kitchen a clean diet will help zip fat off your middle like nobody's business
definitely a FUN alternative to typical cardio and ab routines. I like doing standing ab work, especially belly dancing moves.
I love the hula hoop. Never tried the weighted ones but I'd love to. Kids love hula hooping too and it's a great way to make exercising fun!
I'm hoping, lol. I HATE the gym. I struggle to work out if it isn't fun, lol. I recently took up BJJ (Brazilian Jui Jitsu), and I love it. It's one hell of a work out too.
