Hi, I'm Lisa and I have a 13y/o with Apserger. Hope to meet some moms here
with the same.
Take Care...Lisa
Hi Lisa: So I am a curious individual so forgive the questions. Is Asperger a genetic illness, or unknown at this point? How does it affect your child? And do they currently go to school, or are they in a special education enviornment?
My daughter has a genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis, Type 1. It is a horrible disease, but one has to learn to live with it I guess. She is my one and only, so of course is the apple of this moms eye.
Glad to meet you and I hope more moms chime in to discuss...
Vicky
Wow, I don't know that I ever replied here or not. Sorry. I over look way too much. I am sorry for your daughters disease and the trauma of it. That's one thing I'll never understand till I meet my maker I guess is a child suffering from disease or abuse. My very best wishes of any & all wellness moments for her.
As to the ?'s about Asperger...It's just another form of autism. It could be immunizations it could be genetic. A child could have the same symptoms and be affected by two totally different things. Not much is known about Autism in general other than the certain, like, behaviours in a particular type personality of a person. My son is adopted. He's been with me since he was 3 days old & I know the family that adopted his older brother who has a multitude of different illnesses, but not autism. I know he was immunized the same as my son. I know the birth father received some immunizations & the birth grand father ...none. In our case I do not believe it is from immunizations. But I have heard that since the early 90's that 30 some odd immunizations have been added to the mandated immunization schedule.
makes me wonder, what in the hell is going on to need 30 more ways to protect oneself & what are we protecting from?
I just had 3 grand daughters born this Jan. The pregnancies were all chaos, the dr. appts. & number of sonos. The formula changes..the ges. diabet. testing. the amnio. test. None of that was done in the 80 unless..well i never heard of it in the 80's... i think it is harder to be pg. now. Get pg. now & raise the kids now w/o wondering & worrying what's next.
