Taking Glyburide and side Effects like Allergic Skin Reactions...

Okay so I have been taking Glyburdie for well over a month.. She started me out with one pill a day and then went to two and recently she asked me to take one one in the morning and 2 at night... I don't know if that's what making me have these rashes that look like hives on my arms, chest and even eye lid now. The rash is itchy and it's driving me nuts. Im not to have allergic skin reactions just like that.. So.. Im wondering if it may be the Glyburide?? Anybody experience this?? I have called my OB/Gyn this morning and Im waiting for a call back and I went ahead and scheduled an appt with my dermatologist.. I just want to know what's going on... Thanks..

Glyburdie is a sulfa based drug. I am allergic to sulfa drugs and that is exactly what happened to me. As soon as you stop taking the Glyburdie I bet the rash will go away. Good luck!
