I can't get enough blood to go into the strip and it keeps saying ERROR!!!!  I'm not sure what I'm sure wrong... but i've already used so many strips!!! This morning I did it sooo easily (only used 1 strip and it worked right away!) then when I did it again just now... it wouldn't work, I couldn't get enough blood to come out or I couldn't get the blood into the strip for some reason and then the damn thing kept saying error!! I used 6 strips until I finally got it right? Did any ever have this issue? or am I just dumb?

you might need to make the needle part longer so it can go deep enough to draw blood...also make sure you use a differant finger every time...other wise you will have a calous that is very hard to draw blood out of... and after you poke pinch the spot untill you see a big drop..then put put the strip to it.

i hope this helped. good luck!

1. extend the needle bar further

2. try to pinch your finger first, and then prick it

3. push the needle in while trying to prick, I had problem at first too...I'm deathly afraid of needles.

4. when I first started measuring, I had my husband do it for me a few times just to get over the hype and fear. Get someone else to do it a couple of times, see if they can get it better.

Best of luck :)

My diabetic councelor said one good way to get the blood flowing is to clamp your arm at the elbow with your hand and run your hand down to your wrist. You should see your hand get red. Another good thing is to wash your hands first with warm soapy water to get the blood flowing to your fingertips. This especially helps now that the weather is getting colder, your hands might be too cold. Hope this helped!!

good luck
