Testing

So I am supposed to test 2 hrs post meal. So I normally try to do it to the minute from when I stop eating, and I was wondering if I don't get to it until say 5 or 10 min later, is that # no longer good to use? I work p/t so my post breakfast sometimes can be 5 min or so late. Today I tested one hour post and it was 147, should be 140 1 hr....and I think it was only about maybe a few min late. Then I checked it again 2 hrs post, but then I was about 7 min late, and it was 117 (should be 120), so it probably would have been at 120, or maybe a a digit over or so, so I am not sure if everyone does it to the minute from when you stop eating or not?

Just an FYI, blood sugar should be 135 or less after 1 hour after the start of a meal. My gest dr had me on insulin when it was 140 or more.

Buy anyways a few minutes shouldn't make a significant difference.

Were you told to test 2 hrs from when you started to eat, or from when you finished?

My doctor told me to test 2 hours from when I started to eat, and that I should try to get readings under 120 and above 70.
