Early Delivery?

Just got diagnosed with GD. This is my second child. First was 9.04lbs. No GD with him. Had him 10 days early by c-section. I've heard that some GD babies come early? Is this true? Did you have your baby early? And if so, how early?

 just one week early for me...they didnt want me to get to 40 weeks because with GD the baby can be very big.

i actually went past 40 weeks because my water did not break.  At the end of week 40, they did however tell me to go to l&d so they could break my water in hopes of labor starting.  Gladly, it did and i had my daughter shortly there after.

I don't think they would come early on their own, but the doctors will not let you go past certain point, depending on the babies weight, because they tent to get too big and at that point it may be complications if they'll let you go any further. I was induced at 39 weeks and my baby was 8lb 1 oz. Smaller than they thought she'll be. It all depends on the baby's size and f they are trying to take breaths. Sometimes the lungs of gd babies can be under developed. Just listen to your doctors, they'll guide you.
