I was curious which monitor everyone was using.
Three weeks ago I started out with an AccuCheck that I loved and my numbers were consistent and appeared very accurate. I changed doctors about a week ago and the formulary they used didn't cover AccuCheck materials so I was switched to a Precision and have had nothing but problems. My numbers were about 15 points different between the two monitors and when I was checking with just the Precision I had a 5 to 15 point range of difference between multiple tests strips from the same puncture site within seconds of each other.
I spoke to the nurse this morning and she confirmed that she has been having many complaints about the Precision being inconsistent and inaccurate. She had me switch back today to the AccuCheck test strips so we shall see how I test the rest of the day now- although I am assuming all my numbers will be normal again.
Just curious if anyone else was using either of these monitors.
