Chances of having GD again...

I had gestational diabetes during my first pregnancy. What are the chances that I will have it during my next pregnancies?

 they told me it gets higher with every pregnancy after.

I think it's over 50%, but I'm not sure exactly.  They'll test you earlier and more frequently (I was tested at 12, 24, and 28 weeks).  I was positive with both of my pregnancies.  Good luck!

  • I was curious about this too,  There is not alot of information on the web about it but what I found sais that there is a 35.6% increase in your chance of having GD reoccure.  Here is the article:
