My fingers are tired of being pricked a gazillion times a day. I am running out of places to poke myself. I have only really been doing it properly for a week now. I have primary Reynauds on top of the GD so I can not heal these wounds fast enough, Anyone else frustrated as hell with the constant sugar checking?

Which monitor do you have?  The one my dietitcian gave me (Freestyle Lite) allows you to prick other places, like your arms and thighs, to give your fingers a break.  I was told that for GD, I should stick with my fingers, but maybe with your extenuating circumstances a change of venue would be appropriate.

I ALWAYS tested on my arms, because I am a typist and finger pokes are NOT my thing.

For a while, until I realized that the top of the arm is better, I looked like a heroin addict. XD

See if you are able to test elsewhere, like your arm, or the palm of your hand. Check with your doctor to see if you can do that, and let them know what is going on.

Ha... I have 33 more weeks to go of this crap!!! I was tested as soon as I found out I was pregnant because I had it with my previous pregnancy. So far... my levels are fine via diet control.

I am tired of finger pricking too and have became a pin cushion. My fingers are peeling at the tips due to too so much pricking! I started pricking my thumb and that is okay. I also do the lower palm of my hand. I am beyond frustrated and am so tired of taking sugars everyday.

They just tested me at 16 weeks with baby 2 and of course it was high. (I had it with dd) i have only been checking my levels a few days and following my old diet and i feel like a pin cushion already lol. The bad thing is my levels are high even on the diet so i know i am going to extend the pin cushion onto my belly in a few weeks. I hate doing the insulin shots.
