I am 12 weeks and am insulin dependant My insulin at my asppt today got adjusted from am and B4 dinner 10N to Am and B4 dinner to 10N/5R. I have always taken these 2 insulins with pregnacies so not worried about it , but I got to thinking and I don't remember being on the both insulins this early with my other preg nacies. Has any one else been on these to early in pregnancy? Could it be casue this is my 5th pregnancy (3 live 1 m/c and current PG) all were GD with except 1st. So could that have something to do with it. Or that I was type 2 after last baby born in sept 2007? I would be really surprses after this baby if i am not type 2 after this it runs really high on my dads side of the family. Please ladies let me know what you think

I haven't had to deal with that yet. I didn't take insulin with my dd till late in the pregnancy. They tested me at 17 weeks this time and i failed the one hour. Not sure yet if they will put me on insulin this time ( i am expecting it though). Right now i am just taking my levels 4 times a day and following a low carb diet till i see the dr on the 19th. I think i will be on insulin before 20 weeks this time with baby 2. It could be because it's your 5th pregnancy.
