What medication do you take if any for GD?

With my son I was on Gliburide.  Now I am on metformin with this one.  I don't think the metformin works as well.  Just curious what medication you may be taking and if you think it works well, any side effects.

i was on gliburide with my son, and i'm on it again this time. its worked great both times. my numbers are always right where they need to be.

I was the same way with my son.  I wanted to do it by diet alone.  I tried but it was just not working my levels where to high. I finially had to realize I needed to do what was best for the baby and me. I think I am going to talk to my OB about switching back to Gliburide.  I think it works better.

I am on metformin... the doctor told me that it helps control how much sugars are being produce. its has been helping me along with my carb counting diet..

I wish  i was on a pill form ! I am on insulin N and R 2 shots a day

I am taking the metformin everyday twice a day just like I was told to and my levels are still way to high no matter what I do or eat.  I think I am def going to talk to my doc about switching to gliburide.

I am on insulin N twice a day and Humlin R two times a day. They want to add another. Grrrrrrrrrrr
