To me, Christmas means remembering and celebrating the birth of our wonderful Savior. :)

Today, I'm ordering items online for family members that they want to give as gifts to people so they don't have to go to the store or find time to do it themselves. I will also be making cookies for my mom so it's one less "to do" on her list. And I'll be calling a lady I recently met and found out we're neighbors. I just found out she's battling cancer. She's a single mom and having a tough time. So I offered to watch her daughters for her or help out in whatever way she may need. She had also mentioned how since she doesn't have a car, she isn't able to let the kids do much. So maybe I can figure something out that I can do with them to get them out of the house with my kids.

I'm making fake snow when ds gets home using this recipe:

Mix 3 cups of baking soda to 1/2 cup hair conditioner

We also made fog, kind of like when we breathe out when it's cold outside and snowing, using dry ice that we had in a Joe Corbi's order my sister got, and pouring it into a large bowl of hot water. The kids loved it! It was so neat to see the cool fog effects :)

This year's Christmas budget:

Kids: Usually I do $50-$100 each..I am trying to keep it to $50 each this year though.

DH: $50-$100..I think I was able to keep it at $50, too

My mom, dad, sis, MIL: about $20 each.

My cousin's son: about $15 or $20, depending what I can find and what the deals are

We may be doing a secret Santa on DH's side of the family..they usually set it to like $25 so dh and I pick one person and do it together instead of separately and our secret Santa just then gets us one gift to share.

Teachers: we make homemade treats for them and something personally made by DS

Neighbors, mail lady, etc: homemade treats

Thankfully, swagbucks and other computer things I've been doing have helped me to keep the items in my budget.
