What will you do if your child came home from school with this
For the last 2 school years my 9 year old have been coming home telling me the nurse and teachers gives him medicine. I have complained to the school: principal, teachers, district, TEA, and even CPS. Then today, he gets off the bus and tells me he had something to show me. What do I do when no one is listening, including CPS, and the school keeps saying he's lieing? We can't move, and sending him to another school in the same district is out of the question. Anybody out there, can you throw a desperate mom some advice?

Wow! Do u know what they are? I would be calling school board officials, the mayor, governor, lol! Whoever I could take it to the police station see if they can help!! I really don't know what u should do but hopefully u get it figured out!! That's waay out of bounds for them to do!!
No, i really don't know what these peels are. They don't have any type of code or name written on them. One looks like a vitamin. It's very scary, and once I address the school tomorrw, I know they will say they don't know. All I know is a 9 year old, who has ADHD, came home with medicine. He also tells me they give him blue liquid and a red inhaler in which I have not given permission for him to be given any meds at school. Am I crazy, because so many thinks that when all I am is desperate for help that I can't get even from CPS to protect my child. Even if he took them, he's suppose to be ecorted by adults at all times along with being supervised.
I would take him and the pills back to school, have my child show me exactly who gave them to him. If its the nurse I would ask to see the bottles they came from just to see what they really are and let her know that he is not to receive anymore.
Ive never heard of teachers giving out meds anywhere.
If the nurse says they are not from her, my child would have serious issues with me for lying and I would ride his butt until he fessed up as to who gave them to him.
i would go to the school with my child and the pills and ask to see the super intendent or something..but have the pills and find out what they are...!

Take the pills and go talk to the school.
If they don't tell you anything take the pills to a lab and get them tested to find out what they are.

Hi, thanks for your response: I have addressed this issue with the school too many times, and as always he's lieing. What concerns me is he got off the bus with them: he rides a special needs bus where he is buckle and monitor closely by the monitor. So he didn't get it from the school bus. It's like in any case if drugs was given. How did he get it. Now according to my 9 year old, which I expressed deeply to him the consequences for him lying and falsely accusing others especially teachers, he continues telling me the teacher gave it to him. I won't say the teacher's name, but he gave me the name of the teacher. And as far as teachers giving meds-when my child attended the district's skills trains campus for 3 months I was told that teachers are trained how to give meds to students because the nurse is not always there. The nurse has to travel to several other campuses, so they train teachers how to give meds to students when they need it. This was explained to me by my child's school nurse when she was trying to get me to authorized an out-of-date inhaler for my child to use at this particular campus when his doctor told me I only needed to give his inhaler to him before school, after school, and before bed time as needed. Now what alarms me is each year the school sends out a note to all parents to pick up their children's meds or they will be trashed. The inhaler the nurse was speaking of was from last school year and should have been thrown out because I didn't have a way to get to the school by the last day to pick up my child's meds. The meds was out of date and the nurse expressed to me the school's teachers were trained to give my child this inhaler which was out of date. You'll be surprise of what goes on in schools today. I don't fully put the blame on teachers but administrators who leave little help for teachers in the classrooms. My child suppose to be escorted and monitored at all times, which is stated in his IEP. I won't put this blame fully on my child, esecially if it was given to him. If this is true and he's been complaining they give him meds, then he did what was right. He wanted me to see what they was giving him, as well as a blue liquid and a red inhaler which I have not sent to school nor have i written a note for him to be given meds this school year. Also, my child has never taken a red inhaler: his inhalers are a different color. Thanks again for your advice: I am desperate and trying to figure out what is really going on at school since the teachers are always on defense mode and sometimes response in a hostle way as well as always telling me my child lies about everything when I address his issues and complaints and my concerns. I know most defends teachers: I have never seen so many people take sides with teachers. I do understand why, but my heart tells me my child is telling me the truth. For a while I stop listening, and he came in many times upset telling me what went on at school. It's just hard to understand. Like most, why would any teacher or staff member put their life and career at risk as well as a chid's life. God bless and have a great day.
