Though we often read books to our kids we had another fun activity that made both story time and bedtime more fun. I would throw out a few sentences to randomly make up a story and then let the children take turns adding parts to it.then it would come back to me and I would try to piece their fun, fantastic ideas together with a few more sentences....then it would go back to the first child. Some of the stories went on for days.THere was one reoccuring story that went on for years! My daughter is in her early 20s now and has written down that story, what she can remember. We started that bedtime game when my kids were toddlers and continued it until they were ,sadly, too old for bedtime fun. they all love books and stories (even my autistic son) and they still love reading and writing. They have fond memories of bedtime too. So, I consider the game a complete success.I think it would be even more fun with all the technology there is available now....to so easily and vividly record those stories.
aww!

We received the Cinderella recordable storybook. Very often, we have nights when the girls beg for "one more story!" The recordable book is genius because I can still "read it" to my girls even when I have other things I need to take care of. They think it's so cool that mommy's voice reads the book to them and I keep hearing it when they're supposed to be sleeping, LOL! Very cool concept and what a greatly treasured keepsake for them!
My daughter Molly is 20 months and I'm ashamed to say I've never gotten around to putting together her baby book. When I got the invitation for this program I was super excited because I've finally received the motivation that I needed! I received the scrapbook. I was really impressed when I opened it. It's pretty big and heavy and really nicely made. I actually got a baby book as a gift when Molly was born, but never did anything with it. This one blows that one away.
I am not terribly creative so I was a little intimidated to start working on it. But the scrapbook comes with an assortment of stickers marking important milestones so it gives you a lot of guidance and inspiration. Here are a few pictures of the pages that I've completed so far. I've still got some work to do before I'm finished, but now that I've started I'm on a roll and having a great time!

The pictures don't do proper justice. The book is really beautiful and when I finish this will be such a great memento when Molly is older. Thanks so much Hallmark and CafeMom!!!
Too cute. It looks like they were very much into their creations.

we received a recordable storybook: your a hero. Its a story about all the hero's you could grow up to be. My oldest son was in love the minute he saw it. My oldest loves that it reads the story to him. Its a very fun interactive book. Definitely sparks imagination and helps my soon to be kindergardener with reading. He loves that he can record it his way. We love reading bed time stories so this just makes it so much better. He definitely loved it and it would be something I would recommend. Thanks so much cafemom and hallmark for this opportunity.

My nephew would love this one!
we received 2 recordable artwork art gift books

and 1 recordable canvas art kit

my boys, 4yrs and 3yrs old, enjoyed creating with both of these products. their favorite is the little art books. they had a blast putting the stickers on each of the pages. i loved seeing them get creative with where they should be placed. my 4yr old put a balloon in outer space lol
i would deffently recomend the art books. the canvas painting one, i feel, is for the older child. i had to get creative myself a bit so both boys could paint on it. while they had fun, they really didn't paint a picture. it was more like a...blob. lol i love it though. :)
