Hello everyone - I have two daughters (8 and 4) and my husband and I are trying for that lucky "son"...I just joined Cafe Mom tonight and I am looking forward to learning new things about parenting, what works for you that didn't work for me, vice versa, etc...I work full time and create jewelry on the side as a hobby!

Hi my name is Stephanie, I am a mom of 2 and one on the way. I am in a wonderful marriage. We have a 5yr old son that is starting to have some attitude issue and a 4yr old daughter that has had an attitude problem for awhile. Our son does a lot but our daughter you can ask for one thing and it's " I CAN'T" or "I'm scared" or any I mean any excuse out there. She will not do anythign for herself and expects everyoen to do it for her. If we as parents don't she will go ask her brother & it makes no sense. we have been raising her to do things on her own and be independant but she wont'.
