Quoting Leelee1008:smores to close the night, yum!!!
Got to love smores!
Quoting Leelee1008:Dh was supposed to work all night(12:15am) so it was just me and the kids. My friend and her 4 kids came over so I had a small bbq while the kids played in the little pool and played baseball. I made some daquiris and we relaxed. we dont go anywhere to see fireworks b/c I hate the traffic. The University of Delaware is a couple miles away and they do a show. last year they cut most of the woods at the end of my block down to build appartments, they arent finished constructing them so we found that we can see the display, well most of it, wont be able to see the low ones but the bigger ones we could, from our driveway. Dh came home early and surprized me so I was happy. When it was time for fire works we put chairs in the street, there was no traffic comming. and watch the display. after we made smores and about 30-45 minutes after the fireworks were over all the cars started comming home LOL.
What a nice surprise to have DH come home early!
Quoting Leelee1008:,my little patrotic princess
Watching fireworks in the street lol
Love the little dress- so cute!
Quoting mrswillie:We went to a friends house for a small cookout, pool party and fire works. It was great. We did get stuck in a storm on the way home. Thank God dh had his chainsaw in the truck still because there was a tree across our road. He had to cut it to get home!
Nice! Glad he was prepared!
Quoting Bmat:We had a wonderful time at some friends' place. We had a cook out, then played a board game and watched movies. It was such a nice time.
Sounds like a great way to spend the day.

lol...He reallt wasn't prepeared, just hadn't taken it out from the storm last Friday night. A different tree fee across the road. (We live in the woods)
We stayed in. It was HOT and storming most of the day. It let up just in time for us to go watch the fireworks show, then come home and light some ourselves.
