Are they a requirement in your kid's school? What type of volunteering do you do?

Dd school use to have that it was 160 hours per semester it was supposed to be 80 for mom and 80 for dad....I was a single mom so I had to do the full 160 fall to winter and another 160 from January to may.

No, they are not a requirement.  I try to get into each of the kids' classes as often as I can but with the baby at home it isn't as often as I would like.  Maybe I will do better this year.

No.  Our school doesn't do that.

We have to do 20 hours. They are a requirement, but it is a small Christian school. I don't know if they are a requirement in public. There are so many opportunities it really is easy. Dh serves on a committee and I handle the silent auction part of our annual fundraising auction. We go over our requirements with just those. He used to mow the soccer field or spend an afternoon spreading mulch on the playground. Just showing up to help with a class party counts.
