How do you teach your kids charity towards others?

We are struggling with this, she hasn't grasped the concept yet.

We are trying also. Our oldest are 5.5 and 5. They somewhat understand, but don't know that others are in need.

We are all about having them learn from watching us.  We take them with us to deliver food baskets with the church at Christmas and Thanksgiving, we have them help us pick out gifts for the kids off the angel tree at Chirstmas, we give them a quarter to put in the collection plate at church and have them take turns putting our envelope in the collection and we try to look for other service projects to do throughout the year.

We feed the homeless twice a week with our church...we have done this since my DS was two months old...so he grew up knowing this :)
