Hi all,

It’s that time of year! Little ones β€” and not so little ones β€” are heading back to the classroom. This is also the time of year when parents are hurriedly crossing items off of school supply lists.

Pencils, pens and calculators are all very important, but what steps do you take to make sure your kids are emotionally prepared to go to school? What concerns have your kids shared with you as the school year begins, and what are you doing to ease these worries?

No worries here. I work part time at the school. When I went in today she was complaining that she has to wait 2 more weeks until she gets to start!

My daughter actually did very well.  She started Kindergarten in the beginning of the month, and she loves it!

School (and education) is very important in our home. We prep for going back to school by talking about the upcoming school year, reading special books, and doing things we associate with the start of school - like choosing the first day treat I make for his lunchbox.
