So, I was going to go back to a sticker chart for my daughter (7) for behavior & chores - but then I came across this great site via Pinterest (there is an article about "No more Stickers" "Encouraging Things to Say to Kids" & "Chores Withour Bribery":

Maybe these have been on here before - but I wanted to share.  I think these are great articles!

Thanks for sharing

We use to do sticker charts but weren't getting anywhere with them.  I'll have to check out the links you shared.

Encouraging comments are great, but I think that kids still love to having their accomplishments up on the wall for everyone else to see. Its also a great way to avoid conflict about responsibility for the chores... charts always worked great in our house!

My kids love the stickers on the fridge and can not wait to post them themselves.

I saw a type of chart on pinterest where the jobs (could do for good behavior too) are written in boxes & there is a magnet or something above each job & a flap below that says done on the under side for the kids to close it. a good way to remind & feel accomplished by getting to close the flap.
