We have to depend on professionals. Our taxes are super complicated because my husbands family owns a partnership, which he has inherited a share of....? I don't even understand THAT part exactly, but it complicates things tremendously! Also, I'm a subcontractor, so I'm technically self-employed, but not exactly. That also complicates things. LOL...we get a novels worth of paperwork from accountants each year. So idk ANYTHING about how tax law affects us etc.
