Have you ever heard of the Orange Rhino Challenge? This mom wrote this blog about how she stopped yelling. Are you a yeller? Do you want to change?

I can't make this clicky but here is the link

I'm not a yeller at all. Its taken me years to get to this point but I now discuss any issues that need to be addressed. My mom was a yeller...big time...and I never wanted to be like her. It used to drive me crazy.

Not usually, but when overwhelmed I have been known to. I always apologize.

I don't want to but I know I can when I get overwhelmed, stressed, and frustrated.  So I try take things easy.

If I let OTHER frustrations get to me then yes. My kids alone can't cause it, so I always apologize and tell them that I was frustrated but still very proud of them.

I thought I answered this! I am a yeller more than I want to be and I'm working on changing it. Sometimes it's very frustrating to have my oldest just completely ignore what I'm saying. I always feel bad after though so I just want to be done with yelling. It is a bad habit!

When my DS21 and DS19 were young and I hated it every day, but couldn't get control of myself. I was always at odds with my ex and my kids and new husband (who is now also an ex). Them I found the positive parenting books. I an single mom to DS6 and life is stress free. If I start yelling I put myself in time out.
