How do you explain "the change"?

I have a brain tumor causing my body to not regulate temperature.

(yes, it's true)  I may be hitting "the change". I am so not ready for this!  It's scary!

The hot flashes are happening several times a day now and have been keeping me awake at night for weeks. I am at the point of sweat beads, that weren't there before. The headaches are beyond tiresome, a few have been crippling.  Sleep deprivation takes it's toll in many ugly ways.  I'm sure the mood swings and fits of rage are par for the course, too.

I may just end up checking into a mental hospital to get through it if I don't have a support system.  I'm a mess and nobody understands!  Who will explain this to me?  Why is it NO ONE wants to talk about it?  My mom has mentioned a couple of times about when she went through it, she was near suicidal, and the mood swings and fits of rage were hard to recover from... I remember some of those.

Hopefully, we will get some answers... before it's too late and we've donated our brains to science.
