My daughter's easily distracted to the point of frusterating the hell out of me.  If I didn't keep after her every single minute from the time she wakes up until the time she goes to school, she'd be late every day and in trouble.  She goes to a Catholic school and they have to wear uniforms or I'd send in her pajamas.  How do you get your kid(s) to pay attention and listen to you? I'm getting sick of being a nag.

With my DS I had this issue last year, so I put in place pizza and movie night on Friday night for him.  If he gets up and goes to school with no issues and has no discipline issues at school, we  order in pizza and watch a movie on Friday night.  If he has issues during the week we forgo this.  He loves doing pizza and movie night so we have only had to take it away from him 2 times in the past year.

My son is the same way. I haven't found another alternative, except working on my level of calm
