I just got my DD report card yesterday and tests scores and it says that she is at a 2nd grade reading level. I am so proud of her.

Congratulations! My dd is an advanced reader too and has discovered and loves the diary of a wimpy kids series. It's hilarious!

Wow!  That's awesome!  My 6 year old daughter can read some, but not at a 2nd grade level.

My DD is the same - high 2nd grade, low 3rd grade level. It does make it challenging to find books that are challenging, but not too old for her. My DD also loves the Wimpy Kids books and the A-Z mysteries.

My DD is at a 2nd grade level in reading and math, I was told if we moved her to another district she would be bumped up a grade

That is very good!

I am a little despondent because my son started reading very early but has regressed over the past year. I am not sure what is happening.
