What do you think about hot tubs?

I keep reading that the temperatures aren't safe, that they are breeding grounds for germs, yet people seem to love them. What about hot tubs?

I'm not a huge fan of them. DH loves them. We have one but we use it as more of a pool for the kids (86 degrees or so).

ICK!!!!!!  I have no desire to sit in a sweltering hot tub when it is 98 degrees and humid as he!!   My kids tried the hot tub at the hotel we stayed at last fall, they only were in for a minute and never went back in.

I am not a big fan. I would rather sit in a steam room or sauna for the same effect.

Good point. I'm just not all that comfortable in them.

I didn't think about this.  For opening pores a steam room or sauna work well.  I don't like feeling that hot anyway.

 i hate them

all i can think about is all the germs that get stuck in them

 I have only been in one and it was nice..

I will only go in the ones that my DH has told me is up to his standards.  He's been certified in pool maintenance, including hot tubs.  He know what too look for and what temperature is safe. 

I would love for us to have our own hot tub.
