Arm Restraints/"no-no's" (piog)

My dd had her first palate surgery May 15.  She wears her arm restraints to bed and in the carseat (when noone sits in the back with her).    She has the worst time sleeping.  My questions is this: how long did your child(ren) have to wear the arm restraints to sleep?

PS.  When she doesn't wear them during the day, it's because someone is constantly with her.

I would take the restraints off after my daughter went to sleep as she was a good sleeper and didn't wake in the night I was told that she didn't need them.

If I remember Jake wore his for about 2 weeks after each surgery.  I wouldn't take them off after he went to sleep because he loved to suck on his hands!
