LEXINGTON, Ky. -- A toddler has been rescued from inside a game machine at a Lexington coin laundry.
WKYT-TV reported Caitlin Campbell was playing with other children when a patron at the laundry saw her head pop up among stuffed animals Tuesday night. The girl was inside a machine where players insert coins and then try to maneuver toys into a chute. She had crawled up the chute and couldn't get back out."It sounds like a fluke, like a freak accident," said Melissa Newman. "It is weird."These type of incidents actually happen fairly often.Jack Turner, who owns a Lazer Blaze arcade, said he hears about similar cases about once every six months."There's a large opening, (so) a 3-or 4-year-old child can probably climb in the door entrance easily," said Turner. "I heard of it happening a multitude of times with the cranes. Children see something, it's eye candy, it's colorful, it's what they want. I mean, any kid would love to be in there bouncing around with a bunch of plush toys."Due to the number of incidents with children becoming trapped, companies have made new machines that block from the outside.Turner said the incidents are mostly harmless."Once I knew the child was safe, I'd probably have a really good chuckle off of it, I have to admit," said Turner. There are locks on all of the game machines, but firefighters had to cut the locks with with a circular saw because they could not get them to open. After a firefighter picked Caitlin up and handed her to her grandmother, Judy Campbell, she was given two of the stuffed animals that lured her into the machine.Read more: http://www.wlky.com/news/30462688/detail.html#ixzz1mYON8odU
She must be a really really small 3 or 4 yr old.

I saw something like this the other day! Kinda makes you wonder about the child lol.
I'm glad companies have made new machines that block from the outside.
yeah. I've heard of this happening maybe once a year. Just crazy.
First time I hear about this. If I lost my child this would be one of the last places I would think of looking.
I know right? Who would think to even look in there.

Exactly what I was thinking when I first heard about this. The mother must not of been paying attention to her 3 yr old I mean come on
Quoting NADIA-R:
In all the cases like this one I always wonder where was the mother and why no one was watching that child.
