Anyone out there married to someone not the same ethnicity as you? I ask cause 6 yrs ago I fell in love with a "gringo" never thought I would. Actually I was not looking for anyone cause I had just divorced from someone who is Mexican-American. Anyways I love my husband very much but I do have to say that it's different.
Just wondering if there was moms out there that have gotten married to someone not the same ethnicity. By the way I'm Mexican-American.

I'm Mexican born in Wisconsin my husband is white from Oklahoma. He is an Okie and he calls me a Yankee. Our back grounds and culture are very different but it works for us. We have been married for 15 years.

I am Puerto Rican and my husband is Mexican but raised here. It has had it's difficulties, but it's been worth it.

I'm a white "gringo" woman married to an El Salvadoran guy. I understand what you mean. It's definitely different, but I love my husband with all my heart. I've always loved Mexican food, but El Salvadoran food is a little different. I've gotten used to pupusas, and he's taught me how to make some of the things he likes. We also like each other's music, and he helped me a lot with learning Spanish in College. All that said, I wouldn't trade him for the world. Mi esposo es mi amor de mi vida y rey de mi corazon!

in love

I don't have a SO/hubby ... but the father of my son is white. Its different and sometimes I wonder if "the one" for me, should be hispanic (I'm colombian) or an outsider lol.
