So we have decided to become foster parent's. Our long term goal is to adopt a child. I feel that we are blessed with a loving family. We would love to be able to provide a safe and loving home to a child that may need one. We currently are placement for two children. Foster daughter and foster son. Our lives have changed so much. We have learned many things from these children and taught them many things. I feel since I really enjoy this group of ladies I thought it was time I share this with all of you. Have any of you thought about being a foster parent? If so why or why not?

We are going to adopt in the near future. We have been debating back and forth if to do an international or domestic. If we do domestic we want an older child ages 2 thru 8. If we do international then an infant girl.

We tried being foster parents when we first got married but we were told we did not qualify. at the time we were newly married and lived in a small apartment and we both worked. WE have not tried since.

That is great, we have been talking about being foster parents. Right now we do not have the space. My son came back home and we have been trying to get him back on his feet.

It might have been because you were both newly wedds. Some agencies don't want to put a strain on new couples. In Arizona I have meet other foster parents who live in an apt. I think it's wonderful you plan on adopting a child.
