How do you send them, and does it cost a lot to send them things?

No, I have never sent anything.

My SIL does, she sends them through a company that delivers via truck.

Yes I do. I usually deliver in person since I go to Mexico so often. Like once every 3 months... I usually send gifts. if I can't deliver in person, my mom owns a shipping store.so I just ship it there via fed ex and they go pick it up.

My husband sends stuff with his cousin when he goes to visit family. My suegro also sends stuff from Mecico here like; mole, frijoles y botas para mi esposo

I do. I pay $6 a pound, I usually send bday gifts o Xmas gifts.

 My family goes twice a year but they are meaners they never want to take my mom anything. so I try to ship a big big box they don't charge for weight you can put a mototr in there they don't care as long as you don't send new items they say they charge $100. for it but its worth it if you are planning to send a lot of stuff.

Yes, I send things very frequently especially to one of my recruits in Germany. I use flat rate boxes to keep the cost low since I send things priority.  I also like to order gifts online for people just so the company will send the gifts for me.

I do not, I usually go myself and save on shipping.

I always buy them stuff online, that way, sometimes, shipping is free, and the rate is the same no matter how heavy.  It's a lot easier than buying something and then shipping it. 

Usually, though, I do gift cards.

I live at the border so I can deliver in person.  But mijo who just started college in San Diego get care packages from me, his abuelita and tia nina in person or in via UPS.
