I sometimes jot it down but it's more to help me get a visual picture.
I use a calendar for dates to keep track of work, school assignments, 8 kids: doctor's appointments, sports events, and school deadlines plus any appointments my husband and I may have like flights I take back and forth to the Bay Area and home every month. I have to do lists for each area as well: work has 4 categories because I run four programs. Then for school: one for reading assignments and one for big assignments. A to do list of things around the house.
As you can see, I love lists!!!! WHY do I do this??? I am ADHD. My memory sucks and if I don't see it, it doesn't get done because I totally forget about it.
OR I get distracted by the major shinies: my hubby, kids, TV, a good book, etc. LOL!!

I only do a list for my husband. I am usually pretty good at remembering things. I do a calendar at work to remind associates of deadlines. I have missed a few things at the store or a appointment here and there, but for the most part I remember things. Though my mind is never at rest thinking over and of what I need to do.
