Gross Question:

When tissue is passed.... Does it have a smell?

WTMI:

I had stopped bleeding for a few days so I stopped wearing a pad. Then today when I go to pee there's a medium amount of blood which I half figured would be 'cause I'd been cramping today. But it smelled aweful. Almost rancid :( I hopped in the shower and cleaned my girly parts off and they smelled normal until it started flowing again :/

Thanks for letting me gross you out.

I am not sure. I had a d&c but I would check in with the dr.

I agree with the others. Foul odor is a sign of infection. Call your OB!

okay so... she told me an odd odor is normal, as for the ickyness of it she said it could possibly have contained dead tissues, and have been sitting there for a little while before i went to change. but that if i wanted she would bring me in for tests for infections.

i'm just spotting now and the smell went away so we made an appointment for friday, and even if we decide we don't need to do tests we can sit and talk about things.
