And now we wait.

We followed through with our being checked for fertility issues.

For those who don't know the back story:  My husband and I had been trying for two years when I got a BFP that ended in a m/c last March. We've been trying again for the past year with no success.  We saw my OB earlier this month and he suggested blood work for me and a semen analysis for dh.  I was fighting myself on whether to follow through with the testing and I went Saturday, CD3 and he is dropping off his sample as I type this (ok that might be TMI, lol).

We won't know the results for two weeks and I'm sure in those two weeks I will be nervous and jittery.  And I know as much as I prepare for bad results, that if we do find out that there are little to no chance of conceiving that it will hurt.

We are grateful for the two children that we do have but we do feel like we may be called to adopt at least one and this may just be the push we need to go forward with it.

Has anyone else gone through with fertility testing?  What have been your results?

Good luck Jenn! When I was ttc my daughter we saw a fertility specialist. Hubby had to do the semen test and I did lots once a week for a month. After that month of blood we figured out that I did not ovulate. So the next month I was put on clomid and conceive first round! Now she is almost 3 so I am a success story for you! Keep us posted and take deep breaths :)

Sorry about the typos, I am on my cell. I meant I did blood work once a week for a month.

Good luck! At least maybe you'll have some answers.

We had testing done after having 3 kids.   We were ttc for almost a year for #4... All of our results turned out normal, and by the end of the yr., we conceived.  Its so hard, because as much as you want good results, it doesn't explain why you can't conceive... its sort of a double-edged sword.  I hope you get the answers you are seeking.

Hopefully all goes well with your results !! We haven't been tested for any infertility issues. Once we begin to ttc again we'll wait 6 months to 1 yr of actively trying before we seek counseling.

I haven't but I'll be meeting with a specialist in a couple months if no bfp before then. Just wanted to say I hope things go well whether another bio child or you lean towards adoption. I understand how it is very possible to be grateful for your 2 and still want more. You're in no way discounting how awesome the ones you have are by wanting more. Hope your results come quijcly so you don't have to wait too long! Waiting is so hard.

Good luck sweetie!  I'm proud of you for getting enough courage to go for the testing.  I was also tested, (hubby wasn't), and found that my thyroid was normal, but I have PCOS and borderline diabetic.  It was hard to swallow at first, but thankfully there is medication to help people with those conditions to concieve.  So, I'm praying that your tests will come back normal, but if not, that it would be an easy solution (such as taking meds for assistance in TTC).  I'm sure everything will be okay.  Hugs friend!  On pins and needles with you.
