Ladies I need some input! TMI ***Update***

So we miscarried for the 3rd time 2 weeks ago- TODAY is my first babys due date, so its a hard day! We ahvent been "trying" this month...but we have been having sex the last few days....well I pulled out an OPK yesterday(dig) it was freaking positive about 5 minutes after sex. Then last night I went to the bathroom (i had a liner on) it had blood and brownish stuff all over it. I was like huh?? I'm very confused. I would understand it if that was the first time since the miscarriage - but it wasnt. This morning it was gone and I had alittle brownish CM. I did laugh at our timing even without trying or looking at a calendar in weeks.

On another note- the STUPID OB here on our military post is refering me to an RE- well I talked to a GOOD friend...she told me NEVER to go to him that he's horrible! There isnt another RE close and the other far away dont take our military insruance. Would I be ok finding a new OB and having her do the testing?? Am I wrong to "try" while waiting on my testing????

**Update**

With the RE and OB I am very very limited with my choices because my husband is in the Army. After having to put my foot down with the chief of OB here and the nurse(7 phone calls!) ...I was allowed to find my own RE :D yet there are only 3 REs in the south that support Tricare ( the blessing is that Tricare will pay for ALL testing up to needing an IUI or IVF!) After many tears yesterday I found an amazing RE in another state (only 3 hour drive though) her nurse talked to me SO sweet! I really feel that God worked this out because I looked up how to get there and had a laugh. I'm going to the place and hospital where I was born! Plus they got me in for Thursday and they are going to test as much as possible so I dont have to make that drive much!

Well for the doctor part I might be able to help. Are you Tricare standard or prime or what is your insurance. If you have prime you have to go to the Tricare office on post and talk to them. You should be able to write a letter to the post commander as to why you want a different doctor. He will approve or deny it. If denied you have no choice then. If you are standard you should be able to have options to who you go too

The positive opk was it your first test? If you've had other negatives great. If not it is possible that you still have hormones in your system causing a positive but its left from your loss. I had positive preg and opks for 2-3 weeks after my loss. If you've had a negative before though its prob positive. Many have gotten preg immediatly following a loss.

I'm not sure about avoiding the RE. Is it possible to just see him and form your own opinion and then you don't have to go back? Sometimes a doc has an off day or when youre ttc its hard to really be objective. My midwife is AWESOME but i really disliked her way of dealing with my m/c. If that had been my only experience with her I may have formed a really bad opinion. As far as seeing another OB they can do testing but they aren't specialists like an RE. You could see a new OB for testing and then if needed then see the RE.

Very sorry for your loss :-(

The OPK positive was real because the OB took levels for DAYS my HCG levels were gone in 24 hours after I started bleeding and the OPK was right on time for ovulation. All of my miscarriages have been that way- i regulate FAST its alittle weird...but the OB is always happy about it.

Hoping you caught they egg and won't need much help at the RE office ;-)

I have my first RE appt on Thursday too!! I'll be thinking and praying for you as you take the long drive. Isn't it crazy what we'd do for great help in conception? I was driving 2hrs to do a study and my husband was like you're crazy LOL. The RE I'm seeing is only 30 mins but its in center city philadelphia and parking alone will run me $25. Blah. Anyway, I'll be thinking of you and praying for you while I'm at the appt. I'm hoping this doc is nice. The one that referred me is uber sweet and says she'd trust him with her body so thats a good referral lol.
