its been 3 months since I lost my son at 17 weeks...and some of you ladies know how "crazy" i was at the beginning of my lost with finding out a reason. as a nurse it is my nature to research every disease and know all the why's with it.... so i went on a mission to find out why i lost my son..and my obgyn ran every test for a clotting disorder...all came back negative.. and single out my lost as "bad luck" then over the course of 3 weeks i developed a bad rash on my face that would not go away...it only got worst....to the point where it became embrassing...the first think i thought was the butterfly rash that is associated with lupus...so i went to my pmd on monday and talked to her about it...she was unsure what the rash could exactly be so she did blood work...and i got the call today telling me one of the blood test came back positive for lupus... :( just great...i wasn't really thinking i might have it...now i have to see a specialist...and i read articles regarding lupus and pregnanct and it's not highly recommended... which again is just great being that i am 5 days late....any ladies out there have lupus and had successful pregnancy...i swear...it always something...

I have a cousin whose wife has lupus and she has 5 happy and healthy kids :)

I also have a cousin with lupus and she had three healthy children. I'll keep you in my prayers!

My cousin found out she had lupus right after having her baby. Healthy baby though! There are things that can help, I think. I have PAI blood clotting disorder that has caused 4 mc. And I just found out I have it! Dr. said bad luck. I saw a fertiliry specialist and they ran every test known to man. Have to take heprin and low dose asprin. Glad I have an answer. And even though lupus is not what you wanted to hear, you do have an answer.Not that it eases the pain. I am so sorry that you had to go through lossing your son.

I'm sorry you were diagnosed with lupus. I have Hashimotos thyroiditis, another autoimmune disorder, so you are not alone. Hang in there and PM me if you want. HUGS!
