yes.....we live on the northern California coast. When I was first married we lived near Reno, NV. Lakes are OK, but NOTHING compares to the salt water air and soothing sound of the waves. Prior to having kids I spent a great deal of time in "therapy" aka sitting at the beach :)
I felt the same way when I was in the Navy and heard that many people have never seen snow. One of my good friends was stationed here after living in Texas his whole life and I remember how excited he was! Crazy how something so normal to you is something another person has never had the chance to experience. I grew up going to the ocean every summer at least once :) Now we try to go when we can!
